Baby Animals by Sharyle

Ever wonder how to use those great large prints?  Make them the focus of a block.  We've got panda bears, elephants, monkeys, and giraffes to name a few.

Quilted with "Leafy Vine Meander" and bright green thread to give the babies something to eat.

Pat's most recent 3

It would appear that Pat has some skill at making couples pregnant.  That's the only reason I can come up with for all the baby quilts.  Here are the most recent 3, and 2 more to go.

Can you see the bunnies on the back?

This one is known as the "Forest Theme" quilt. It is quilted with a design called "Wolves and stars"  There is a wolf howling at the moon on the left side of the star block.

Below is the darling backing fabric.

Probably my personal favorite, is "Lambs".  Quilted with "Loopy Hearts" design, and just to cute for words!  I found a pale green thread that matches the green in the blocks, but my favorite are all the fussy cut lambs in the cornerstones.

2nd of Vintage Fans quilt for Janet

Here is quilt #2 of 3 that are virtually the same.  Probably slightly different fabrics in the fans, but all pieced by the same person, and now all quilted in the same manner.   So pretty!

"Sloths" by Kelli

OMG how adorable!  I've already asked Kelli if she is sure she wants this one back, and the answer is that yes, she does.
I love their faces!  Quilted with "Woodgrain" panto

2 more quilts from Mike from Mom's clothing

These are such special quilts.  This one will be a wall hanging for family in Guam.  The large white flowers on blue are from a set of sheets
that a relative embroidered for Mike's mom, and now the flowers in this quilt represent family members.
This quilt is for Mike, about a twin
size.  The wide borders really give the Hawaiian Flower quilting design a place to shine.  Mike's mom loved flowers so this is another way to honor her.

"Goats in Hawaiian Shirts" by Michael

MicMichael tells me that the pattern is by Arts East, and is called "Goats in Pajamas", but he didn't have enough juvenile prints to make jammies.  So, Hawaiian shirts it is!
I LOVE their faces, and little beards!

A second round of Dresden Fans quilt with help from Janet

Janet brought me a vintage quilt top in the past.  The blocks were pieced by a relative in the distant past.  Now I have 3 more to do for her.  The other two are the same layout of blocks as this one.  Using limited blocks to make something lovely for several family members.

Quilted with rulers and freehand feathers over wool batting.  Gotta love the loft that wool gives it.

"Ava's quilt" by Scott

Scott and his
husband live in an RV and work as camp hosts at various state campgrounds.   So imagine piecing a quilt in your RV, and then doing such precision work!

This quilt is for Ava, Scott's niece.  Lucky girl.  Quilted with Loopy Hearts

Double Rainbow by Pam

Wow  Just wow at the amazing work done by Pam.  The original photo was taken by her brother and this depicts his property in the Colorado Rockies.  The entire area burned to the ground last summer in a wildfire.  The large white light on the left side of the top photos is my light, not a part of the quilt.  Trying to get the entire quilt to fit into the shot.
Pam
reached out to me about quilting this quilt after her former quilter retired.  My only hope is that Pam is pleased with my work, and that this can become a long term relationship.

The rainbow is pieced, the lighter one in the distance is the same fabrics, but using the "wrong side" out.  Perfect for the fade of a 2nd rainbow.  The piecing curves, which means that the sky fabric also had to curve to fit it.  Many of the grassy meadows were also pieced, I'm guessing to add texture to the scene, as well as to potentially cut out some areas that weren't right for the area.

As is the truck and the building.  Can't begin to say how tiny those little red tailights were on the truck.

Blue & Green batiks by Karoyn

Simple design, lots of 1/2 square triangles, but boy do they pack a punch.  And Karolyn's piecing is impeccable.  All her points match beautifully, none cut off.  Maybe I should ask her for lessons?

"Tuscan Lattice" by Su

Sue is at it again, bringing me a lovely top to help to finish.  Just 2 blocks make up this quilt, but it looks much more complicated.  Quilted with the hydrangea panto.

"Fernwhe" by Sean

Sean is a new to me quilter.  I don't think that he's been quilting long, but this is the first quilt that I've quilted for him.   I'm looking forward to a long relationship with him.

Two T-shirt quilts for Lisa's sons

Lisa has (at least) 2 sons, one who will graduate from high school this year, and the other from college.  These are some of their shirts.
The stripe is from a pair of pajamas that each son had when they were little boys.
.  How cute to save that and then add them to their quilt.

Norma's rescue and leftovers

Here is another 1940's "rescue" quilt from Norma.
The blocks were hand pieced by an unknown maker, some of the 9 patch pieces are even pieced to make them large enough for use in this quilt.  This is my kind of piecing!
Norma wanted a more masculine design on this one, and the "Amazing border"design.  So, a swirly pattern on the body of the quilt, and a different border.

And a "string pieced" quilt.  One where you take all those little scraps that are too big to throw away, but too small to keep and piece them into new blocks.  Norma consistently used the white as the center of her blocks.  Nicely done.
