 Zoe refers to this as a Picnic quilt, so that's what I shall call it as well.  Lovely piecing, as always

Zoe is expecting a baby soon, so here are some quilts for the new baby.  Woodland Quilt above, filled with squares of woodland creatures, including Bigfoot.

"Scrap quilt" with lots of random pieces put together to make a quilt top, and a pieced backing too!

And Sawtooth stars, which was supposed to be larger, but she "got tired" of making flying geese."  (which I can understand!)

 

A wedding quilt from Zoe

Zoe has friends who will celebrate their marriage this summer, so here is their wedding quilt.  The background is a lovely blue, but not quite navy.  Also, not the weird grey that shows in the closeup.  Quilted with Baptist Fans, and oh so pretty.

I'm simply calling this one "Rectangles" for obvious reasons.  I believe that this will be a donation quilt, designed more for a boy in mind.

    Zoe has been busy. She dropped off 4 quilts, and 3 are ready to be posted. I'm going to bind the last one, so it's not been photographed yet.  Watch this space for that one.  

This is called by the two of us "Asian Florida".  Many of the fabrics in it look Asian to me, but there is at least one fabric with Manatees, so the Florida part.  Quilted with "Double Scallop"

"Retro Metro" also quilted with the Double Scallop design.  The green in the top photo is a much better representation of the background color

And finally "Strings'.  I'll have to think about my next string quilt and using larger blocks.  I also love how they almost make a "V" shape from bottom to top.

 

"Kelp Forest" wedding quilt by Zoe

First, let me say that this quilt is huge, and that this photo only shows 1/2 of it.  The colors travel from light to dark in the center and back to light on the opposite edge.  I had to ask Zoe how she had laid out such a large quilt, who has a design wall that big?  Good ideas from her to do sections, and photograph them.

 The name "Kelp Forest" comes from the idea that Zoe had in her mind while constructing this.  That helped to determine the quilting design as well.  Stunning!

A quilt for "2nd mom" by Zoe

Zoe made this lovely quilt from fabrics she inherited from her mother.  It will be a gift for a former or current neighbor who was like a 2nd mom to Zoe.
  I love the pinks and greens.  Quilted with "Curly Swirly" as loosely as possible per Zoe's request.  So lovely.

This is one of those great quilts that you don't realize how great it is until you stand back and look at the entire quilt.  I love the mostly solid colors as the "focus" fabric, and then the fun print for the background.  Quilted with "Tea Leaves" design

Zoe reached out to ask about quilting, and said "they just seem to pile up."  So here are 4 stunning quilts by her.

This is the Bear Paw, quilted with "bean sprout" design.  She wanted something leafy, and this is what I had ready to go.

"Darting Birds" for her son Henry.  Quilted on my "big" machine with a paper pantograph.  It was too large to fit on my computerized machine.

"Diamond Divide"  I don't know if she paper pieced these blocks or not, but it's really lovely.

I think this is my favorite.  Tulips, quilted with a tulip digital design in pale cream thread to just blend into the background.

Zoe has been a busy lady.  Here are 3 of her current quilts, but I have one more to finish.  Since the blogger software has changed, I can't edit as easily, so here they all are together.  Green and blue 1/2 square triangles make s lovely winter themed quilt, even if I don't consider some of the fabrics winter.  Pink safety pins and dragonflies for example.    Quilted with "Flurries" and I love how it turned out.

I am calling this one "Orange Wind chimes" since the quilt is quilted with the Wind Chimes design.  I love how Zoe uses up her scraps of fabric to make blocks, and then it turns into a lovely scrappy quilt.

Bargello Strings.  It's not really a bargello quilt, but I love how it turned out!  Again, made from left over strings, all cut to the same width, then pieced together.  Quilted with "Asti" panto
