"Cross" by Carol B

Ready for the Easter celebration at her church, Carol made this one as a donation.  Quilted with the "Curly Swirly" panto

"Trip Around the World" by Carol

All made in lovely batiks by Carol, I believe for her sister?

Quilted with Curly Swirly panto and hot pink thread.  So fun!

"Anne for Mom" by Carol

This is the same pattern as the quilt that Carol made for her sister, but the border is a lovely lavender print.  Also quilted with much more detail.  Each block has a feathered wreath quilted in it, and a large feather meander in the border.

"Sweet Sixteen" by Carol for her sister.

This is one of two of the same patterns made by Carol.  This one is more focused on the green tones, and will go to her sister.  There is a future one coming for her mom.

The fabrics are from the "Anne of Green Gables" fabric line.

Progress on Carol B's BOM

These are just some shots of what I'm currently working on for Carol B.  A Block of the Month, completed in 6 months.
While Carol chose several thread colors to match the fabrics, my directions for quilting are limited.  Something to effect of "Carol likes feathers.", so that's what we're giving her!

I started by basting the entire quilt by machine, then as I needed to roll the quilt back and forth to get to different areas, I knew it wouldn't shift the layers.  Rather than quilt a small sections in one color, then change and continue, I'm doing all of a specific color at one time.    Next is the dark green, and some time to consider what to do there!
