"Bohemian baby quilt" by Leigh

To me, Leigh is "famous" for her amazing
hand applique and embroidery.  But you really don't want to make a baby a quilt that has lots of embroidery on it that they could pull off and get caught on little fingers.  So, this is out of the box for Leigh.  All cottons, not even flannel on the top.  Still hand appliqued, but then cotton batting and an edge to edge design. 

 I think the quilting design is called "African Storm".  I thought it looked Bohemian-ish.  Now Leigh wants to make another Bohemian one for herself.  Can't wait to see what that looks like!

"Rainbow Stars" by Jane

Jane referred to herself  as a "beginning quilter", but her piecing was delightful.

This quilt will be a Christmas gift for her daughter who is 4 years old.   Jane chose a "Rainbow Hearts" quilting design and a variegated rainbow colored thread.  Perfect for the quilt.
 

"Scrappy Strips" by Dagmar

We all have them, those scraps of fabric that are too big to throw away, but too small to keep.  Dagmar too them and made them into a modified Log Cabin.

Isn't this fun?  I think I'm going to have to make one too.  Beverly chose the "It's a boy" thread color, but left the quilting design up to me.  Hmm.  Decisions!  I went with "Birds of  a Feather".  Several sizes of birds, slightly different, and leaves and swirls around them.  So pretty!

 

Vickie's hand pieced rail fence

 Vickie is a very petite individual, but make the biggest darn quilts!  This one is all hand pieced, I can't imagine the hours spent working on it.  Very scrappy, and then quilted with the Hearts and Bubbles design which can only be seen on the back.

 Take all of those little bits of fabric that you've had collecting for some time and start sewing them into blocks and rows, and before you know it, you've got yourself a quilt top!

Quilted with zig zag design on Lenni, with white thread.  Quilting this quilt was like visiting old friends.  So many "Oh I remember that fabric!" moments.

"Zuma" quilt by Kristin

I love it when you don't realize how gorgeous the quilt is until you've finished quilting it and have it hung up for photos.  Love the shading, love the fabrics, Wow!

Quilted with a very simple Single Wave design, then off set slightly  Very hard to see in this photo, the Sea Foam thread makes it hard to see, but trust me, it works!

"Ombre Panel wth black" by Sue

I am sure that this is not the actual name of this pattern, but I neglected to ask Sue when she dropped it off.  I love the fabric (so much that I bought it too!)
Quilting design is called "Kelpie" and I love the swirly spiky effect on it.

"Kaffee Fassett" by Jean

Sadly, I didn't get the name of the pattern for this quilt, but the fabrics are all by Kaffee Fassett.  Jean is a new quilter, I believe she stated she started in January of 2020, so only about 3 months. 
She has further quilted all of her previous quilts on her domestic machine, doing stitch in the ditch.  So no pressure!  It's her first quilt to be longarmed is all!

Lovely graphic design, and the thread that picks up the same colors in the quilt finished it beautifully.  Nice job Jean!

French Braid by Lorri

 This quilt is ginormous!  I have a 14' table, and it barely made it on there.  So lovely though.  I've never made a French Braid, but I love the scrappy braids in the quilt.

"Disappearing 9 patch" by Zoe

After finishing this quilt I think I finally realized that it's not a disappearing 9 patch, but a "Harmonic Convergence" by Ricky Tims.  I've never made one, but you start with 4 different fabrics and by careful cutting and piecing, end up with this totally different design

The four fabrics are a batik stripe above, batick animals

"Whales" by Kelli

 Are these fun?  Kelli's son saw a sampler at the now defunct Fabric Depot" and "suggested" that she make him the quilt.
Although the designer, Elizabeth Hartman makes her patterns to look s though they are paper pieced, they are all just straight pieced.  I have a pattern that I'll be making "any day now" of hers.

"Triangles" by Trudy

 This is another of those quilts that you don't realize how amazing it is until you get it finished and hung up for photos.  I love the shading from light to dark, and the color choices in general.

Some of the triangles are even pieced.  Quilted with a new design called "Windchimes"  Fun design, but I would like to speak to the designer.  The patter would be quilting on the far right side, stop for no reason, run to the far left side, do about one square foot, and then back to where it had stopped on the right.  Probably one of those things that if I were to spend more time online learning about quilt path I'd be able to correct.

Penny Candy

Another of those scrap quilts that you work on as a beginner/ender.  I've been collecting 2" cut squares in a shoe box next to my sewing machine, and start each new seam with one of those.   #2 on Lenni, and still learning.  Once I get 2 quilts done perfectly on Lenni (my computerized machine) we'll be ready for customers.

"Bonnie Hunter mystery" by Dagmar

 I am impressed with Dagmar.  I've never tried a Bonnie Hunter mystery.  The woman is even better at saving fabric scraps than I am, and then she designs quilts with these little pieces!  The quilt was so pretty and fun to work on, but when I got it hung up for the photos, you realize just how lovely it is.  Nicely done Dagmar!

Frankenquilt #9 by Michael

Let me first state that Michael is the one who coined the term "Frankenquilt".  I love his way of using up scraps of fabrics to make something, that always seems to work.

Fun to revisit old favorites from other quilts that I've worked on with him.  Also very excited about this piece of Crater Lake because Cycle Oregon 2019 will be going there!

Pink 9 Patch by Judy

 I seem to be having a collection of scrap quilts going through my studio right now and I love it!  This one is so soft in pastels, but primarily pink for Judy's grand-daughter.

"Delightful Desert" by Michael

 Another quilt by Michael designed by Elizabeth Hartman.  Wow.  Where does he find the time?

 I love the eye lashes on the fawn, and that is a moth underneath the fawn.

 I think this is a Puma.

 Oh!  It's a Racoon!  (I had to look up the pattern)

 A crane. with various cactus flowers around.

And a bunny.  Just have to say, I LOVE the background fill on this.  Wish I could claim it as my own design, but when I saw the pattern in the fabric that Michael used, that's what I pretty much followed.  Hard or impossible to see in the photos, and because I've quilted over it, but there are wavy lines in the print that just looked like wind swirled desert sand.  Too perfect to not use that.

Checkerboard rail fence by Michael

Camp Erin quilt time again!  Michael usually makes several quilts to give to the Camp Erin, a camp for kids with cancer run through Providence.

I love this quilt because he's taken so many truly random fabrics and then stitched them together in rail fence blocks.  But the addition of the checkerboards that gives your eye a place to rest makes the quilt.  Quilted with the "Dandelion" panto, but I still call it the "Spider" panto because that's what it looks like to me.

"Cop 9 patch" by me

 This one started when I had lots and lots of little black squares leftover from my "Chief Sherpa" quilt.  Rather than just throw them into the 2" square bin, I sorted them out and added random colored squares to them, set them with white, and then found some police officer fabric that I'd purchased at Feather Your Nest quilt shop.
