Christmas Tree quilt by Bernadette

Bernadette and her sister made this quilt to gift to yet another sister. Best of all, they raided the recipients fabric stash, so she can have fun playing find the memories of her fabrics. The backing, pieced by Sister #2 is made of 2.5 " strips of fabric.

"Christmas Kissing Ball" by me

I have tried and tried to rotate this photo to get it upright, but the computer is not cooperative, so please ignore that. I found this pattern in a magazine in about April of 2025, and took me until well into 2026 to get it finished. I'm quite pleased with it, and hope to sell it at the Sisters quilt show this year.

Heirloom quilting throughout, feathers in the star points, paisley meander in the background (that took forever!)

And assorted continuous curves.

"Kissing Leftovers" by me

I'm doing the handwork on my Christmas Kissing Ball quilt, and found all these leftover bits in the bin. So, threw them up on the design wall, added a few bits and stitched it into a Cop quilt. Now to find my officers to donate it too.

Two for Christmas from Carol

Because every child needs a quilt and a book to go with it, Craol found this pattern and the book to gift. I outline quilted the caterpillar to give it definition and then free hand leaves in the rest of the quilt.

"Ribbon Christmas Tree" for her mom. Again, a panel, but with a great boder added for a wonderful effect.

"Chrost,as Fat Qiarters by Joy

I love having projects ready for the holidays long before the stressors of the holidays begin, and clearly so does Joy. Fun Christmas quilt top made out of fat quarters and ready for binding. Quilted with the panto called "Flurries" in a slightly gold colored thread. Well done!

Two from Ellen

First we have one we have simply called "Holiday". Made with solids, but as you can see below, one small Christmas print. Quilted with a design of Holly Berries.

"Dogs and Bones" is so sweet! I love how there is no "right side up" to the quilt, And the backing fabric with all those cute puppies is perfect!

"Christmas Houses" by Michael

What a sweet and darling quilt for the holidays! All done is reds and whites, lots and lots of piecing to get all those houses and trees made

Quilted with a shiny white thread in a design of snowflakes and houses.

"Christmas Triangles" by Trudy

Trudy is well ahead of the game, having started this quilt before July, then dropped off for quilting in that month. She'll take it on a retreat with her in Aug. to finish the binding.

While not traditional Christmas colors, it's really more of a winter quilt, with a few decorations thrown in.

"Holiday" quilt from Jennie

Jennie wins the prize for most organized for this year. This lovely festive winter holiday quilt was dropped off in Jan. 2023, and is now all set for next Christmas!

Great design, something I'll probably need to copy for my own use. Quilted with Holly and Swirls panto in shiny gold thread. Perfect!

"Shivery Snowman" update

Okay, this is actually Sharyle's version of Shivery Snowmen because I can't find a photo of mine.

However, the reason I'm posting this now is because of the recent email I received from Lori. The last time I saw my quilt was when I packed it up to mail off to the quilt show in Sister's Oregon. It sold at the show, and I hoped that it had a good home.

Recently I received an email from Lori asking about care instructions. I responded, and then asked her how she found it. Below is her email response. What a blessing to hear that your quilt continues on.

Of all places I found it at the West Salem Goodwill for $14.99!!
I just can not believe that someone would just donate it vs. giving to a friend or family member. It’s in wonderful shape for being 14 yo. I’m so honored I was lucky enough to find it and my mother (she has dementia) and I will stand looking at it and all the detail involved. Every day she picks a square she likes best and we notice something we hadn’t seen the other times. This will be cherished for a long time.

Thank you to Lori for reaching out, and I hope that you get your money's worth out of this quilt. This has warmed my heart this holiday season. Also a reason to always put a label on your quilt. You never know who might ask about it.

"Christmas Cats" by Michael

So many questions for Michael. First, where did this idea/pattern come from? I really hope that it's a purchased pattern, and that he didn't come up with the idea on his own. Otherwise I don't think I could like him anymore.

Where did you get that great cat panel!? This is the second cat quilt that Michael has brought, using these cats cut out and then appliqued to a different quilt. Something I would never even think to do.

My cat, Rumples is orange, but somehow, this cat below makes me thing of him. Must be the pose

Quilted with Holly and Swirl panto, in gold thread, but here's a photo of the really deep red backing. Not orange.

" This and the Halloween pattern are from jedicraftgirl, who i saw on instagram, i got the pattern from her Etsy shop. They are designed to use this mod cat panel, the panel has enough cats to do 2 quilts. I actually had bought the panel some time ago, i thought it would be fun to applique them on tote bags i make. But no craft fairs so I didn't make bags, I knew it was fate that I had the panel waiting to see the pattern. The panels can probably be found here or there if you search and if they are still available, I got mine from equilter.com. I also traced all the cats onto template plastic so I can cut my own from whatever fabric I want."

"Christmas Joy" by Kathy

This is such a pretty quilt! Beautiful piecing, and what a great way to focus the eye on the separate holiday designs with the Irish Chain motif.

Quilted with the Flurries panto, and shiny gold thread. I wasn't sure about the gold at first, but what a great choice on this quilt.

Dagmar's Tree skirt

A quick tree skirt that Dagmar made. Quilted with a snowflake design that's difficult to see, but very pretty. Also shiny white thread to make it festive.

Look carefully, there's his eye in the yellow triangle on the top.

This one is called "Pink, blue and green for niece." Pretty!


I love the border fabric. It looks like beads on string.

It's almost time for Halloween! Quilted with bright orange thread and the Kitty Kat panto. I was king of hoping for bright green, but it's Dagmar's quilt, she gets to choose.
