Gerry's most recent Halloween

Gerry is REALLY early for Halloween this year!  Cute fabrics, and I have a feeling that several of them will glow in the dark!  Gerry always let's me choose the backing, thread and design, so I chose a deep purple backing, lime green thread, and Twinkling Pumpkins for quilting.  Trick or treat!

Snowballs by Gerry T

Oh drat.  The colors in the top photo are really inaccurate.  These are actually bright jewel towns all Laurel Burch holiday prints.  Well, the focus fabric is.
Quilted with "Flurries" panto, and gold thread, on a black backing.  Not the nearly brown that my camera shows.  Great job Gerry.

"Cathedral Window" by Gerry

Gerry asked me if I'd be willing to finish this quilt top and then donate it.  Well of course I will!
I've never made a Cathedral Window quilt, and I admire those of you who have.  Since it's a donation quilt, I used scrap wool batting, so it's extra fluffy and warm.  Quilted with a meandering heart design, and a curve in the windows.

Now I just need to find the police officer to get it to.

Two from Gerry

All of these Halloween quilts are making me want to make one too!  I love this one with the cats, hats and pumpkin.  Quilted with bats in bright orange thread.

And a simple jelly roll that has already been sent to it's forever home in Ohio

"Red and Green layer cake by Gerry

Gerry is going to have to slow down!  I have another quilt of hers finished, and I think that she wants to drop another off soon too.  Wow.  Wish I could find that much time. Quilted with the Ginger Flower digital design.

Purple squares from Gerry

Gerry is a very prolific piecer.  Usually dropping off the next when she comes to pick up the one that is finished.  This one is large squares, probably about 8", then sewn together.  Gerry lets me choose the backing fabric, thread and quilting design, this one was down with Scrolling Vine

"Crazy Quilt" by Gerry

Gerry always seems to have more and more quilts to do, and then she gives them away.  This one is a crazy pieced quilt, and the fabrics incorporate flowers, specifically roses.

So, I quilted it with a rose design

"layer cake for a friend" by Gerry.

This is such a soft looking quilt.  Beautiful spring florals, and Gerry let me choose the quilting design and thread.  I chose a tulip design for quilting, in a soft lavender, that really doesn't show in photos.  I did try.  This will go to a friend of Gerry's, and I hope the friend treasures this.  How special.

"Anne of Green Gables" by Gerry

I think that this was probably a layer cake design, but I'm not positive.  Lots of scenes and words from the Anne of Green Gables series.

"Trellis" by Gerry

Gerry is a new to me customer, referred from Feather Your Nest. This quilt is called "Trellis".  I love the white sashing that sets it off.

Gerry's only instructions were to make it "simple but elegant", so feathers in all the triangles, and different ones in the border.  I really thought about doing something in the white, but decided to let it stand on it's own, and give the eye a place to rest.
