"Double Chevron" by Carol
"Shimmer Fabrics" by Rhonda
Drat. The first photo isn't great, but the close up worked well. Lots of lovely leaves in rich fall colors. Quilted with "Honey" thread that also has a sheen, and oak leaves.
"Patty's Log Cabin Stars"
Another stunner from Pat, and it's scrappy. What's not to love?
We've got a piano key border, quilted with a leafy vine. The leaves are repeated in the log cabin blocks.

| The star blocks got continuous curves on one half, and the white half was treated to the same feathers in the rest of the white sections of the quilt. Fun times for me in terms of quilting. |

Flying geese and trees by Carla
Ahh, cozy flannels. Hard to think about those when it's 80 degrees out, but it's going to get cold and wet soon. Carla made some lovely tiny trees and flying geese to snuggle under. Then quilted with leaves. Almost (but not quite) makes me wish for a rainy day to cuddle under it and eat soup.

"Autumn Leaves" and "Funky Monkey Rail Fence" by Michael
"Funky Monkey Rail Fence" because that's the name of the panto he chose to have done on this rail fence quilt top. Why not? It's really fun to do something off beat like that.
Grandmother's Flower Garden for Lisa and Rachel
Shamefully, I don't recall who gave them this quilt top, but it's all hand pieced. I do love English Paper Piecing. Quilted with an edge to edge design of leaves and vines in a pale cream thread. Just enough to blend into the background.
Flower Fairies by Kristin
I assume that Kristin started with a panel of the flower fairies, then cut those apart, and sashed them.
Quilted with freehand leaves and vines to go with the garden, flower theme.

Back in August of 2014, my niece, through my husband, Marielle received this quilt from their Aunt Joy. Randall's mother's sister. Marielle washed the quilt, and sadly the original quilting fell apart. She took the whole quilt apart, and we added new batting, and backing to it.
The story that we pieced together from Joy is that the quilt was found in a relative's home, and no one seems to know who made it or why.
The blocks are all hand embroidered, and the person who made it was great at embroidery, not so great at piecing. Blocks were wonky and few corners matched, but you'll never notice from 3 feet away on a galloping horse. That's a rule I learned from my friend Wendy. "If you can't see if from 3 feet on a galloping horse, it doesn't show." Excellent rule! I used Glide thread, quilted it with vines and leaves to go with the flower theme in the embroidery. Wool batting to give it loft. The original backing wasn't large enough to use again, so it became the label on the back, and the new binding. Now I hope it will have a new and long life with Marielle.

Fig Tree Quilt

Don't you just love the softness of the colors of this quilt? The pattern is by Fig Tree Designs, but I don't know the name of the quilt pattern. Laura chose to have leaves across the body of the quilt, and in the border, then a tight meander in the green border and setting pieces. Very nicely done, Laura!

This is an old family quilt that no one seems to know where it started.

I love sampler quilts. I feel I must explain the chalk line down the center of the quilt. Diana wanted me to use 2 different colors of thread, and one was to go on one side of the quilt, and other other on the opposite. The chalk line was to remind me to not get carried away.
