3 from Betty

I think that Betty and I are going to become fast friends  At least I hope so.  She's clearly a prolific piecer, and very skilled as well.  These are the first 3 quilts that she brought to me.  I love the graphic design of this black, white and grey quilt.  Quilted with an edge to edge design of wavy lines.  Very clean and simple

A Thimbleberries quilt, but I don't know the name of it.  Stunning stars, and I love how the narrow middle border sets everything off.

Quilted with "A Rose is A Rose" design, tying in very well with the roses in the fabrics.  The 3rd quilt is made up of leftovers from the first quilt.  I don't know if these were partial blocks, or if she made them into blocks, but regardless, it works quilt well.  Also quilted with A rose is a rose design

"Wedding Quilt" by Pat

Pat's lovely daughter is getting married in September, and this will be their wedding quilt  Simply stunning work from Pat.

Pat basically told me to play and have fun with the quilt.  Based on the one photo I've seen of her daughter, I asked if her tastes leaned  more towards elegant and clean lines, or what?  Clean lines, elegant is what I ended up going for.  Arcs in the border with a piano key at the outside edge.  I had initially left the middle open, but after quilting most of the quilt, decided that they needed to be filled with feathers.

The background is quilted with a pretty tight meander, enough to hold everything together, but not make the quilt stiff.  Wool batting gives it loft so my quilting shows, and it will be toasty warm for them.

"Wolf" by Robin

Oh my!  Isn't he stunning!?  This quilt measures 71"x 89", or almost the size of a twin bed.  All paper pieced, so good sized pieces, but the idea of keep tracking of them all is overwhelming to me.
Quilted with Wolf and Pines panto, and if you look you can see the wolf in the stitching howling at the moon.

6 point stars for the bride and groom

I think this may be the sweetest wedding quilt I've ever had the pleasure of helping with.  Sara reached out to me about quilting, and then when we met, I got more of the story.  I think that Sara may the primary seamstress in this lovely group of women, but so many friends jumped in to help with this.

All told, this quilt was made by Kristin, Emmy, Shauna, Sara, Amy Jennifer, Amy Jo, Margaret and Dana for their friend.  They will present it to her on June 15th, so we were a bit squished in making sure there was going to be time to finish it.

Considering that most of these women don't quilt, I am astonished at their skills.  All those triangles, and look at the points!  Perfect and crisp.  The entire quilt is made from cuddly flannels, and then they chose wool batt, so soft, and oh so warm.  Quilted with Chantilly Lace panto

9 patch cats from Lynn

As usual, the top photo does not reflect the true colors of the quilt.  The bottom one is much more accurate, and the borders are a pretty emerald green.

Yep, those are all cats and maybe a mouse or cat toy thrown in for good measure.  Quilted with double plume panto, but I kept thinking it should be cats.  Maybe there are enough cats on it already.

Eye Spy #4

These fun M&M's have shown up in each of the 4 quilts, and they make me smile.

"Fons and Porter" by Vickie

Vickie said that she started this, and then got overwhelmed by the pattern.  I'm not sure if she added her own blocks to it, or took what she had, but this originated with something from Fons and Porter. Quilted with Ribbon Heart panto

Traveling Teddy by Sue

Sue has a new grand (or maybe great grand) baby on the way, so quick, a baby quilt.  Cute little panel, quilted with Happy Clouds panto

A beauty from Betty.

Betty is a new to me customer, but she's already on her second visit to drop off quilts.  The first ones will all be done with my hand guided machine, and currently that queue is longer than my computerized.  So, even though this was dropped off later, it's done first.  Beautiful quilt, love the colors and very well pieced.  I can hardly wait to dive into the others that she has, and get to know her better.

A total of 4 from Carol

Trying to show the detail of the quilting design, it's called "Cinderella", so there is a wand, pumpkin and of course slippers.

Grey bars by Mary Beth

Michael has 3 more done (again!)

This quilt is really much more fun than what my poor photography skills shows.  It's a lovely panel in greens of various dragons.  Wish I knew why they turned out so yellow.

Another panel, this one is a "Steampunk Octopus".  Love the 9 patch border.  Nicely pieced, Michael.

Quilted wth the "Optical Illusion" panto to which this photo does not do justice.
Love the hand dyed backing fabric.  Not one of mine, but great colors!
