Two Christmas quilts for Kathy Y

Kathy needs something good in her life, so here are two quilts for her to finish.  The stars was quilted with an ornament design in a gold thread, and the other quilted with a snowflake and houses.  There were many little buttons attached, but I had to remove them before quilting.  Another project for Kathy to work on.

Kathy loves her Kaffee Fasseet prints, and has used them before, and again in 2 of these quilts.  The top is large fussy cut prints of flowers, but it works so well.

I feel that I should recognize this pattern, but I can't name it.  It's called "Pink, black, and whites" in my info.  Quilted with a hot pink thread to really show up nicely.

And a panel in the style of Gustav Klimt.  Not sure who the actual fabric designer is, but it's very pretty.  Quilted with a shiny gold thread that really matches  the gold in the fabric.

Kathy is planning ahead for future grandchildren.

This started as a panel and she added frames  to make it even cuter.

Kathy has been a busy lady, here are 4 of her most recent finishes.  First, Kaffee Fassett fabrics.

  Quilted withthe Stone Wall panto, which was a great match for the background fabric.  Also where the choice for the purple thread came from.

Elephants!  Oh my these are so cute! Kathy even had leftover blocks which were placed on the back of the quilt.  Quilted with a bright green thread and the "Monstera" quilt design.

and the "fish fry" panto that Kathy chose for quilting.

Kathy told me that she didn't like the quilt top when she brought it, but is now quite happy with it.  I love how quilting brings the quilt to life, and often changes our perspectives and opinions of a quilt.
