| This started as a practice piece, then I saw the sci-fi movie "Signs". (don't waste your time watching it.) Anyway, the premise is that the aliens arrive and make crop circles in the fields. So, I started by stitching a bunch of circles, then added a bunch of different background fills. My inspiration came from the book "365 Free Motion Quilting Designs by Leah Day. She challenged herself, and wrote a daily blog about coming up with a new free motion quilting design every day for a year. I'm impressed! This quilt went to the Portland Police. |
