"Star Crossed" and "Love Conquers All" by me

Here are two from Debi of "Mystery Quilts Anonymous" on Facebook.  Star Crossed at the top, and Love Conquers All at the bottom.
Star crossed was pieced first, and put in the pile for quilting "someday".  Love Conquers All is the most recently revealed mystery.  While finishing this one up, I kept thinking that it needed to go to my co-worker Kim.  She and her family are foster parents, and I think that the way she and her family are sharing love needs to be acknowledged.
I was getting ready to quilt this quilt, but finally realized that with 7 people in their family, one quilt, and a smallish throw at that, wasn't going to be enough.  So, Star Crossed was also quilted.
Since greater than a year ago, some Minky fabric was left behind, this was the perfect backing to use for both.  I"m glad that these will finally find a good home.

Masha's quilt for her grandson

I am not sure why this quilt took so long to complete, but "Nugget" as the baby was known at the time, is now about 12 years old.
I love how family members created
blocks for the baby.  This is my personal favorite, but they are all so darling!

Pat's quilt for a long time tenant

Wow,  If you are a tenant of Pat's for a long time, you get a quilt.   Lucky tenant!
Another version of the Leafy Vine panto that Dagmar chose.  Quilted with "Pale Mist" green thread.  Stunning!

"Bonnie Hunter's Latest Mystery"

I love
mystery quilts, but Bonnie Hunter is a bit intense for m.  Gotta love her stuff though, and beautifully pieced by Dagmar.  I'm pretty sure this is the one that started the "leafy vine" panto, so thank you for that!

"Playroom" by Jodi

This design is called "Sunrise Fan".  So cool!

"Blue and Cream Stars" by Sara

This is the backing, the pattern is called "Northern Lights"

"Bears" by Sharyle

Two from Sue

This is a shot of the backing fabric, trying to show the
"Leafy Vine" panto.  I believe that Dagmar was the one who wanted it originally, but it's been used on many quilts.

Abby's daughter's t-shirts

Abby pieced the top for her daughter, who if you could not tell, majored in civil engineering.  Well done to you!

2 from Leigh

Leigh, the queen of hand embroidery!
Here are two of her quilts.  This one is called "Bohemian."  She had brought a baby quilt of the same design some time ago, and had so much fun that she made one for herself too.  Now, she has so much fabric leftover from this, that she's making another.  All done with Kaffee Fassett fabrics, so I let the fabric "speak" for the quilting.  Lots of SID on the blocks, and a consistent background fill.  Then lots of playing with freehand designs in the borders.  Below is the backing which was actually a deep purple flannel.

And now "Tiny Houses".  Each block finishes at about 6".  Amazing detail!  All hand appliqued and embroidered, down to the clock minutes on the Town Hall

So much texture in the embroidery!

Japanese Taupe fabrics by Norma

I'm sure there is another name for
this pattern, but I have forgotten it.
Quilted with the "Stone Wall panto in the body of the quilt, and then  cross hatching in the borders.  All on my computer and I'm quite pleased.  Her son wanted the single line 1" from the top of the middle solid border.

Stars BOM by Dagmar

I miss going to a quilt shop and participating in their
Block of the Month.  Maybe someday I'll get to do it again.  For now, here's Dagmar's lovely project.

Quilted with the Celtic Knot panto.  Glad my Lenni machine did all the backtracking, because I can't do it that well!

"Feeling Crabby" by Sharyle

I admire people who paper piece, because I'm not one of them.

Sharyle used a product from Superior Threads called Texture Magic, which wrinkles up your fabric after washing for the textured look.  Quilted with waves so that they
can wash up over the crab legs.

Margaret's T-shirts

Clearly, Margaret was involved in a sorority while in college because about every other shirt has something to do with her house.

Fun memories for her.

Dresden Plates (to be) by Sue

Sue tells me she intends to applique and quilt her pieced Dresden Plates, so I only did SID around the white blocks, and something in the border in blue that can't be seen.  I hope that Sue will share a finished picture with me as well when she is finished.
