"David" by Michael

This quilt is entirely paper pieced, both front and back.  Yes, this is one quilt.  Measures 69"x90".  Michael started it during the 2nd week of October 2022, and dropped it off for quilting on Jan. 14, 2023.  Took me a week to quilt it.

Trying to show some perspective of the size of the fabric pieces.

Lone Star pieced by Nancy's mother

I  think my love of Lone Star quilts comes from my late Grandmother Esther.  She was the quilter and my mother has a lone star quilt that she made for my parents  A little worn after all these years ,but still stnning
Quilted with the panto of "Kay's Shamrock"

Vintage Dresden Plate from Betty

Another lovely vintage quilt that I do not know the history of.  All machine pieced. I hand guided a design across the quilt using a meander in the white background and the orange centers.  Then each individual fan received curves.

While quilting this I kept thinking of the Dresden Plate blocks that I inherited from my wonderful mother in law.  They've made it to my UFO list for 2023.  Progress!

Vintage Spider Web from Betty

I wish I'd ask Betty the history of this quilt top, but it's not written down.  Clearly a vintage quilt.
This makes me curious as to how to make one, but I'm not sure I'm quite ready to do any serious research into it.  All quilted with continues curves so that I could avoid the somewhat bulky seams in the centers.

These two photos (and below) are taken of the backside of the quilt top.  Each piece was stitched to muslin as a stabilizer first.  I just wanted some documentation of what is now hidden from view.

Yakata fabric quilt by Carla

I was hoping that the Eastern Garden Ginko pattern would show more in the photo.
