Vintage Spider Web from Betty

I wish I'd ask Betty the history of this quilt top, but it's not written down.  Clearly a vintage quilt. 

This makes me curious as to how to make one, but I'm not sure I'm quite ready to do any serious research into it.  All quilted with continues curves so that I could avoid the somewhat bulky seams in the centers.

These two photos (and below) are taken of the backside of the quilt top.  Each piece was stitched to muslin as a stabilizer first.  I just wanted some documentation of what is now hidden from view.
