This is Labyrinth , based on the movie that I've never seen. I know that it starred David Bowie. Love the quilting design that Michael chose.

His first Nutcraker, I think there will be many! Quilted with swirls to mimic that pattern of the background fabric.

My personal favorite of this bunch, his Desert Scene I think the quilting design is called Wood Grain, or something like that. Perfect on this quilt!

The first of 5 from Susan

Susan is making a quilt for her son, and then 4 additional for his friends. This is the first finished, and what a beauty. Quilted with the "Simply Stars" panto.

Hunter's Star by Jon

This is Jon's first quilt, and he started with a challenge of a Hunter's Star. Going to be a baby quilt for a friend, and a lucky friend.

Quilted with the Wind Dancer pantograph and Hobbs wool batting. Stunning!

Janice has been working like crazy, she dropped off these four quilts, and let me play with them. I got to choose thread colors and quilting designs. This one with the red X's is quilted with a pattern called "Stone Wall"

since the X's reminded me of a garden trellis, and there are lots of flowers in the background.

Square in a square variation, and all of the orange and blue print fabrics on the front came from this fabric that she used for the backing as well.

And green squares, quilted with a squared off quilt pattern as well. So much fun! Then when she picked up these 4, she dropped off another bag of the next batch of tops, and I don't even know how many are there yet!

"Shoes" by Leigh

Leigh is amazing with her handwork. I love how she took one shoe pattern, but made them all look so different with the different colors, and especially the embellishments that she used.

I had a great time working on this, although it did take longer than I had expected.

Hunter's star from Betty

Betty says that this is her last quilt for a while. This one was made for a nephew who "Likes orange and has a pick up." So lots of orange fabrics, and the back contains a panel of a vintage pick up truck.

Sadly, Betty says that she is "finished" quilting for a while. I hope that she will return soon, I so enjoy working with her. She's also "through with orange", and I don't blame her. Not my favorite color either.

Memory quilts by Michael

If I understand correctly, Michael made these 5 memory quilts for a friend. The photos were printed on fabric and made into a banner for her celebration of lift. Based on the number of photos and the size of these quilts, the banner must have been HUGE!

Michael did a great job in coordinating the photos and the fabrics and then adding filler blocks as needed. I hope that these will bring some comfort to those she left behind.
