Balloon crayon box by me.

I pretty much always have a hand piecing project with me at all times.  This one traveled with me for a long time on my bike, and I would just piece the hexagons in a "theme" of colors in each block.  I bordered each block with white muslin first, then black sashing strips.  Cornerstones were randomly chosen squares from my collection.

The Balloon part of this quilt is the pantograph of hot air balloons flowing across the quilt.  This one has gone to the Portland Police Sunshine Division.
