Oh my stars! All of these are appliqued by hand!
I love to do hand work, but I'm not that dedicated. (Leigh thinks I'm crazy for hand quilting a queen quilt. Too each their own!) The larger blocks measure approx. 9" across, and the smaller ones are half that size. I don't even want to try to count how many stars there are in it.
Each large star was outlined by approx. 1/4" from the edge, as well as stitching in the ditch around the stars, and the center circle. The small stars were only stitched in the ditch around the outside. Truly lovely handwork.
