This quilt has been a long time coming. Jim had a "significant" birthday in June of 2020, but will soon be receiving his birthday quilt. Each and every one of these blocks is paper pieced, and some of the pieces are microscopic All of the blocks were SID around their sashing, then a bit of background fill around the birds. Due to the numerous layers at times, I knew that I wouldn't be able to quilt over all the birds, so I just left them alone. Truly stunning.
The crane is extra large, so he got a bit more detail in his background some SID around the fencing, and a of texture on the flooring
