"One Yard quilt for Kim" by me

My friend and coworker has been given a pretty negative diagnosis, so of course you make a quilt in times that need support.  This is a free pattern I found when looking for "one yard quilts".  They are made up of 1 yard cuts of fabrics, and since I had these in the basement, it was perfect.

My friend Pat came over and saw this on my machine.  Asked what was the significance of the quilting design of dog paws, bones and hearts.  Kim is the one who always has dog treats in her pockets.  Never had a dog of her own, but has "adopted" many, and loves them all.  So this way she will always haver her pups.

"Sprout's First Quilt" by me

My first great niece is due to arrive June 26.  Her in-utero name is "Sprout", hence the title of the quilt.  This quilt shows a lot of different things that are important in her family.
Mom to be Katie, likes to bike with us, so the monsters on bicycles was my jumping off point.  Since "Visible from Space" is our clothing line, clearly neon green and orange were also needed.
The backing represents her father, lover of gnomes and owner of a goat "Pearl".  Quilted with flamingos, although difficult to see because we refer to our biking group as "The flock".  One last family representation is the mushroom fabric for the binding for dad who grows them.  Last time I was at their house, the mushrooms were growing in the future nursery.  Hopefully that will move at some point.

"Pug Love" by me

When I heard that Sam from down the street was facing surgery, the first thing I thought of was that he would need a quilt.  Since he and Danni are "the Pug couple" clearly I had to find pug fabric.  The design is from a pattern called "Fascinated by Monet" by my dear friend Wendy Ann Wood.  The top takes about 3 hours to piece, and is so versatile!

Quilted with hearts and dog prints.  What else could be better?

"My Flock Rocks!" by Beth

Our cycling group refers to ourselves as "The flock" as we tend to wear a lot of flamingo tights.  (Long story...)  I used to have a sticker on my bike helmet that read "My Flock Rocks", but I had to replace my helmet, so no longer have the sticker.  That was the inspiration for the name.

This quilt pattern is from Debi Montgomery's Mystery Quilts Anonymous.  This was her "Tea Party" mystery that was released on New Year's 2023.  I make it with a plan to offer it for sale at the Sister's Outdoor Quilt show this summer.

Since I kept seeing diamond shapes, I had to quilt a diamond facet there.  So much fun to play!

This one is "Cat's in Space" with help from Michael, he loaned me the pattern.  This will go to the Cat Adoption Team fundraiser (I think.  I remember that the theme of the fundraiser is "Cats in Space", so how perfect is this pattern?  The cat faces are all made with my hand dyed fabrics, so they are all slightly mottled.

My neighbors down the street run the "Do Good" foundation and came to our block party over the summer.  They are having a fund raiser on Nov. 11, and I had all this patriotic fabric, so made them this quilt with Propeller and Friendship Star blocks.

Finally, grab a panel out of the stash, don't even both to add borders.  Seems my friend and biking buddy Ted has a new grandson.  His son has adopted 2 girls, and recently found out that their birth mother had delivered an infant boy.  Since every baby needs a quilt, this quick panel went to them.

"National Parks" by me

I started this quilt with a visit to my favorite quilt shop, Feather Your Nest.  I purchased this panel, and then built it out from there.  The design is traditional blocks chosen by me with a plan to make the finished quilt reminiscent of a Pendleton Blanket.

Arrows?  Don't know the name of the actual block.

Each individual park was simply stitched in the ditch to highlight it.
