"Baseball Players" by Robin

I believe that this is all straight piecing, not paper pieced. This quilt is for her brother who plays catcher, so quilted with a pantograph of a baseball catcher.

"Skateboards" and "Bigfoot #2" by Michael.

Michael is at it again, making more fun quilts.  I love the movement in the skatebaord quilt, and wish I could get a better shot of the quilting.  It's called "Lost my Marbles", and the orange is actually a deep red.

Digital Quilting Design Lost My Marbles by Mike FountainHey!  Here's the panto I used on Michael's skateboards.  I wanted lots of movement, and this reminded me of people in the skate park going back and forth, and spinning in circles.

Look closely, and you can see Sasquatch coming out of the tree.

2nd "Cubs Quilt" by Dagmar

What do you do when you have a bunch of fabric left over from a previous project?  Make another quilt!  Dagmar used all of her baseball quilt leftovers in this, and even Woodstock from Peanuts made it in.  Quilted with the "baseball fun" panto.

Chicago Cubs by Dagmar

I think it's safe to say that Dagmar is a fan of the Chicago Cubs baseball team.
Great quilt made using a layer cake, and then she added in  the above fabric for the stars.
Quilted with the "Baseball Fun" panto.

Basketballs by Michael

Another Camp Erin one.  Start with a theme fabric of basketballs.  Add other colors from where you started.  Piece the same block,  a churn dash, but then rearrange the colors in it several different ways and you get so many different looking blocks!

Quilted with freehand flames.  Seemed appropriate with the basketballs and the "fire" in the fabrics.

"Fleece" by Michael

M
My mother used to say that my father could do "anything she set her mind to", and I think that Michael may feel the same way about my quilting abilities. Start with two fleece pieces, and then quilt them together with a football theme panto.  Fleece stretches a lot, so this was a bit of a challenge, but I hope that Michael and his brother, the future recipient, will be pleased.

"Rim Ride" by me

Another Cycle Oregon quilt.  I titled this one "Rim Ride" because we'll be riding the rim of Crater Lake this year.  I think that the blue fabric in the settings squares pretty well matches the blue of the water of Crater Lake.

This started with the purchase of a bolt of fabric from the "Cycles of Life" line days after we returned from my first Cycle Oregon Ride.  Then I found a "layer cake" from that line.  (A layer cake is a collection of 10" squares.)  I found a pattern that I thought would work, and here we have the quilt.

The quilting in the yellow borders is to represent the mountains that we'll be climbing to get to the rim of the lake.  As well as all the climbing around the rim.

I wish I had a great reason for choosing the molar feathers wreath quilting design in the setting squares, but "because it looks cool" is the best reason I have..

New pantograph designs

Okay, so they aren't that new, I'm just slow in getting them posted!  Here is "Up, up and away." with several types of hot air balloons

And Jacob's Other Ladder

"Cycle Girl" by me

Bad shot of the green background, but you can at least see the "Cycles of Life" fabric that I started with.

Then the quilt is finished with the "biking" pantograph that I've used for many other quilts.  Just perfect for them, and soon to be 3!

"Baseballs" by Michael

Here's the 2nd of the 6 from Michael.  Start with 2 baseball theme fabrics (the second is the blue blocks)  Piece some blocks in the same design for cohesiveness, then add several applique blocks fro fun.  Quilt all over with a "Baseball Fun" pantograph, and red, white and blue thread.  Who wouldn't love this?
