"Jungle Animals on Green" by Susan

I'm sure I've stated before how I love Susan's creative piecing.  I tend to just cut things down to consistent sizes, and then use them that way.  Clearly Susan uses her math skills to figure out her quilts designs, and they are all so much fun!

"Forest Trees" by Anna

Anna is a new to me customer, but I'm thrilled with what she brought for quilting.  The actual title of the quilt is "the Lookout" by Elizabeth Hartman

Beautifully pieced, and  I love all the animals looking out at you.  Quilted with an panto called "Timber"

"Farm Scene" by Joy

Sorry the photo is upside down, I've got it saved correctly, but am being tormented by a computer.  I'm not completely sure, but I think that Joy drafted this quilt based on another that she has.  I do recall that she had several "naughty" words to say and spent much time with her seam ripper when working on the horse.  Which is my favorite block by the way

Joy had asked me to quilt this for her, but my schedule for my little machine was full and I initially turned her down.  Then realized that I have 2 machines and we could surely find something wonderful for her to choose from.  Hence the "Dizzy Bee" pantograph, and that's about the only "farm animal" not in the quilt, so that worked quite well.

"Sea Otter" by Ashley

Ashley is a newish quilter, this is her 4th quilt.  And yet, she's already graduated to paper piecing.  See the shells and the fish blocks in the corners.

She chose heirloom quilting and wool batting as it's a gift for her husband.  Quilted with waves in the body of the quilt, seaweed in the border, and fur in the otter.  Also about 5 different thread colors to match the fabrics.  Love it!

"Moose Be the Quilting Stars" by me

Anybody want to buy a quilt?

This quilt has been a long time coming, but has been fun all the same.  It started in Sept. 2023 when a copy of Quiltmaker magazine arrived in my mailbox.  I found this cute pattern and decided to make it.  Pulled fabrics from my stash similar to the pattern and dove in.  First part, make 13 pieced and appliqued moose blocks.  (I don't like to applique)  All the same, made the blocks, and then realized that this was done in installments, so waited for the next issue to make the rest of the quilt.  2 months later, the next issue gives clue #2 of 4! Dang!  I've got to wait to finish the quilt!  8 months later I'm ready to sew it all together and decide that I really don't like the fabrics I've chosen for the blocks,  Pull the 12 smaller ones into a quilt for an officer, and make the center block another cop quilt.  Start over again with hand dyed fabrics curated for this, choose different blocks since I wasn't happy with how many of the original ones turned out.  Including drafting a large center block.  NOW I'm ready to put it together!  Oh now, didn't read the directions, my center block is way too big.  Another cop quilt from that block, and make the correct size.
Now that it's all together, and ready for quilting and I got to play.  Feathered wreaths in the pieced blocks and a feather background fill.  But how to quilt a moose?  While on a bike trip to Utah, there was a taxidermy moose at a restaurant, so I tried to mimic the fur and antlers of the moose there.
The quilt is oversized queen, a combination of hand dyed and commercially dyed fabrics, heirloom quilted, wool batting and hand finished binding.  If you are interested in this, please email me at Beth@eocquilting.com

"Cats for Abigail" by Susan

Susan creates the most amazing quilt designs from scraps, and this is no exception.  Abigail is a new baby in her life, and her grandparents have a "Catio", so Susan started with a cat fabric.  Then continued the theme with the "Double Diamond Cats" panto.  Darling!

Two from Ellen

First we have one we have simply called "Holiday".  Made with solids, but as you can see below, one small Christmas print.  Quilted with a design of Holly Berries.

"Dogs and Bones" is so sweet!  I love how there is no "right side up" to the quilt,  And the backing fabric with all those cute puppies is perfect!

Cats in Cups by Michael

I believe that the order of design on this quilt is that Michael found the pattern and liked it.  Then he found the backing and knew that he had to make the quilt.  So cute!

Laurel Burch for Sharyle's grand-daughter

The colors are again, not accurate in my photo.  Poor photographer.  Deep purples and blacks.

A panel of Laurel Burch, probably cut into smaller bits and then rearranged.  Very pretty, and fun.

Michael's Crystal Prisms

OMG, Michael and his amazing paper piecing.  I love the results that he gets, but not something I'm willing to take on.

The fabrics in this are amazing.  I can't quite tell if they are an ombre fabric, or just what.  Will need to ask Michael.

Quilted with what else? Double Diamond Cats panto.  Really fun, and what a surprise to find that in the quilting!

"Quackers" by me

A coworker who has become a dear friend is getting ready to return to her "normal life" in Georgia.  This quilt is for her 4yo granddaughter, a small token of our time together.
I got to meet Ashleigh a few times, and once asked her what her favorite animal was.  After a brief moment, she stated "A duck".
Gonna miss these two!

Churn Dash dog quilt by Pam

I love it so much when I get an email from Pam that she's got a new quilt to send to me.  She always does gorgeous work, and they are so much fun to work on.

Clearly, someone in her life is a dog lover, as the entire quilt is made up of several dog prints asthe focal fabric.  Then black and white dog paw prints for the cornerstones.  Quilted with the "Paw Prints" panto and white thread to complete the look.  So sweet!
