"Otters Eating Ice Cream" by Michael

Since I was remiss on posting a full photo for some time, here are 2 options for your perusal.  So very cute!

I will have to get a better full on photo of this darling quilt.  Clearly too much coffee the first time around, and it was pretty blurry. Several adorable otters with ice cream cones all over their faces.

"Pug Love" by me

After living in our home for 24+ years, we've finally got neighbors that we love.  (We've had our share of stinkers)

When I heard that Sam from down the street was facing surgery, the first thing I thought of was that he would need a quilt.  Since he and Danni are "the Pug couple" clearly I had to find pug fabric.  The design is from a pattern called "Fascinated by Monet" by my dear friend Wendy Ann Wood.  The top takes about 3 hours to piece, and is so versatile!

Quilted with hearts and dog prints.  What else could be better?
 

Several from Kathy

Kathy has been a busy lady, here are 4 of her most recent finishes.  First, Kaffee Fassett fabrics.

  Quilted withthe Stone Wall panto, which was a great match for the background fabric.  Also where the choice for the purple thread came from.

Elephants!  Oh my these are so cute! Kathy even had leftover blocks which were placed on the back of the quilt.  Quilted with a bright green thread and the "Monstera" quilt design. 

"I wish I wish I'd catch a fish" panel.  Love the fabrics that build it out

and the "fish fry" panto that Kathy chose for quilting.

Kathy told me that she didn't like the quilt top when she brought it, but is now quite happy with it.  I love how quilting brings the quilt to life, and often changes our perspectives and opinions of a quilt.

 

2 from Mary Beth

This is for Mary Beth's granddaughter, her "big girl" quilt.  Lots of soft colors and even softer feeling fabrics.  The backing is solid lavender/mauve linen, and quilted with  Pearls and Swirls design

These wonderful focus fabrics are from Turkey, brought to Mary Beth by a friend.  How lucky is she?  Background is Mary Beth's favorite type of fabric, a lovely linen.  Another stunner.

 

Gerry's most recent Halloween

Gerry is REALLY early for Halloween this year!  Cute fabrics, and I have a feeling that several of them will glow in the dark!  Gerry always let's me choose the backing, thread and design, so I chose a deep purple backing, lime green thread, and Twinkling Pumpkins for quilting.  Trick or treat!

 

"Holiday" quilt from Jennie

Jennie wins the prize for most organized for this year.  This lovely festive winter holiday quilt was dropped off in Jan. 2023, and is now all set for next Christmas!

 Great design, something I'll probably need to copy for my own use.  Quilted with Holly and Swirls panto in shiny gold thread.  Perfect!

"Robin's Quilt" by Xande

I had saved these with the correct orientation and now they are still sideways (Stupid computer).  Here is "Robin's Quilt" a new-ish relative of Xande's  The background that makes up the mountain for the robin to stand on is all different books.  How appropriate!  All paper pieced because that's what Xande loves to do

Not sure what the books the unicorn and Firebird  represent.

Clearly Robin needs a robin on her quilt.

"Little Mermaid"

And any number of books about dragons.

 

"My Flock Rocks!" by Beth

Our cycling group refers to ourselves as "The flock" as we tend to wear a lot of flamingo tights.  (Long story...)  I used to have a sticker on my bike helmet that read "My Flock Rocks", but I had to replace my helmet, so no longer have the sticker.  That was the inspiration for the name. 

This quilt pattern is from Debi Montgomery's Mystery Quilts Anonymous.  This was her "Tea Party" mystery that was released on New Year's 2023.  I make it with a plan to offer it for sale at the Sister's Outdoor Quilt show this summer.

Since flamingos have feathers, there are lots of feathers in this quilt!  Wreaths in the pink squares above, as a background fill below.

 Since I kept seeing diamond shapes, I had to quilt a diamond facet there.  So much fun to play!

"Chocolate Bunnies" by Pam

Please keep your fingers crossed that Pam decides she doesn't want this quilt back.  I've got two friends who would LOVE to have it!  (heck, so would I, and I don't love bunnies like they do)

Based on the label on the back, at least started near Easter 2021.  I received it in 2023, and now she will have it back in time to finish for Easter 2023.

All hand appliqued, and button and bead embellishments as well as embroidery for eyes.  Stunning!

All the time I'm quilting this quilt, I have been wanting to eat chocolate Easter bunnies.  Not usually a fan, but I may just have to get myself one this year.
 

"Aiden's quilt" by Kathy

I hope I'm spelling Aiden correctly.  He is a delightful about 7yo who has a wonderful grandmother who made him this great quilt!  Animals for the focus fabric, same yellow batik for star points, and then lots of other batiks for the background.

Impossible to see, but quilting with "Owl Always Love You" design.
