Dresden Fans by Janet with help from her grandmother

Janet tells me that she is a "new quilter", but the work that she put into this quilt isn't that of a beginner. 

I believe that her grandmother pieced these fans, then like many blocks, were left behind unfinished.  Janet at least put them into the quilt top, possibly appliqued them to the background as well. 

All SID around each fan blade, then feathers in the background.  Just lovely.  I can't wait to see where Janet goes from here, if she's a beginner.
